1. How long have you been in business?
Icon Bangladesh Associates [Icon-BA™] was founded in 2001. Since 2001, we have leveraged the internet to provide Bangladesh-based offshore development services to organizations worldwide.

2. Where are you located in Bangladesh?
Icon Bangladesh Associates [Icon-BA™] has its Offshore Development Center in the beautiful port city of Dhaka (earlier known as Dacca) on center of Bangladesh. Dhaka is the most largest and socially developed state in Bangladesh. Dhaka is well-connected to the world with an international airport and has an abundance of technically qualified personnel.

5. Do you take fixed price contracts?
Yes. A fair number of our projects are fixed price contracts. This way, we insure our clients from cost escalations.
We also work on per-hour basis and also have a unique Dedicated Development Center offering.

6. What are your payment terms?
      For Fixed Price Contracts:
      Advance: 20%
      Early-Proof of Concept: 20%
      Beta Release – 20%
      At Sign Off: 40%
      
For time-and-material projects and Dedicated Development Centers:
Fortnightly/ Monthly
      
We also agree to Milestone-based payment schedules on our Fixed Price projects.

7. How do we pay you?
Payments are made through a wire transfer to our banker's account in Chase Manhattan Bank, New York.

8. Are there taxes involved?
As it stands now, there are no taxes involved.

9. What's the minimum size of projects you undertake?
We take all sizes of projects once we are committed to a client.

10. What are your rates?
Our rates range from US $7-20/hour depending upon skills required, time-line, project nature etc.

11. Your rates are low! Is there a catch somewhere?
We can offer these rates because we operate from Bangladesh, which has far lower living costs than most of the Western economies. Bangladesh has an abundance of highly qualified software engineers and architects experienced in providing development services to the international marketplace. Both these factors make our rates viable and practical.

12. Are your people certified?
Our people are certified in relevant Microsoft, IBM and Sun technologies.

13. How do you ensure quality?
We have processes in place to ensure that quality is maintained every single time. These processes are derived from industry standard practices and have been fine-tuned to meet the unique requirements of remote development.

14. Can you provide references?
Yes. We can provide both Work references as well as Client references. Please contact us right away.

15. How do you assure confidentiality?
We sign NDAs and Confidentiality agreements with our clients. Please click here to review a typical agreement we sign.

16. How do we keep abreast of the progress of the project?
      Regular Project Status Reports will be sent to you by email.
      Over and above that, web meetings and teleconferences are held as and when required.
      The developed code is replicated/updated to your servers at regular intervals. This way, you get to review the progress of work even on a daily basis.
      Our Project Managers and Customer Relationship Managers are available to you on a 24/7 basis.

17. Do you provide post-implementation support?
Yes, we provide 8 months' free post-implementation support for all our development. Further support is also available at a charge.

18. We are planning a product, can we co-develop with you?

19. Can you set up an exclusive development team for us in Bangladesh?
